Just bought two potted ones from Cleggs . About 3' tall each. Anything special to these? They're already flowering. All I've noticed is that they take full sun and deep watering.

Make sure the area is well drained.
Is it tree form or shrub? For tree keep it pruned to height you want. Shrub for, basically the same. It was grow big if left alone.

Got from Cleggs last weekend. They're still in pots (the two in the back) and sorry for the bad photo. I rushed it at the time. But the are about 3.5' tall each in plastic pots that have plenty of drainage.
Should I consider putting in a larger planter? Not sure if that helps with root system development. They were getting knocked over with some of the wind we had

Keeping them in large pots is fine. Just trim as needed.
