Adhesive for furniture bolts?

I'm having an issue with the bolts and hardware in multiple pieces of furniture routinely working loose. Most of them are bolts into wood, to where if it was metal to metal I would use something like Loctite.
I'd like to be able to just adhere the bolts enough to not loosen, but not be basically permanent. Is wood glue the best?
Recommendations?

Any way to add pocket holes at the joints?

Would glue is strong stuff, I use toothpicks to shim out such things. Drive one or two in one the side of the hole, start the bolt, then snap/trim off the excess.

Gluing the joints reduces the flex, and so your chair that gradually works loose may just crack and break when over-stressed.
That said, DAP Weldwood is my go-to for a permanent wood glue. Mix to consistency of heavy cream, make sure the surfaces are bare wood (sand if needed), add the glue & reassemble. Glue will leak/drip out; carefully clean it with a wet cloth a few times during the set period. You get about 20 minutes of working time, so if you're slow at reassembly, no worries.

I had a bench that would do the same thing. I ended up unscrewing the wood end of the bolts and coating them in that gorilla polyurethane glue lightly. Then screwed them back in. They have not budged since. Also put locative on the nuts that went on the bolts.

Yeah I'm not looking to go heavy on the adhesive. I think I'm going to try just a small dab of wood glue. I just wasn't sure if there is something special for this? I'm just looking for a small dab like you use with loctite.
