I have a second line. It does the same thing but to the other side of the house. It's hooked to the emergency pan.

Not a plumber so not sure of the codes but is there a vent line near by the unit in the attic. You could tee into the vent line and have the water just run down the vent line.

I believe you that the condensate drains outside, getting that out of the way.

The best solution is to find some plumbing to tie it into, rather than a distribution header to spread it out, this sounds like a fall winter project though.

ETA: It might be against code, but the code you posted does not prevent you from doing it.
