12” vanity drawer bases - too small?

Looking at a bath remodel and have a 7 foot space for a vanity. Options are 12/24/12/24/12, or a 30/15/30 with two 3” spacers on either end.
Are 12” drawer bases too small (drawers are smaller than 12” wide)?

Found it best to have small drawers. That way the wife can keep her crap all together.

This is a 48" vanity I built for my guest house. 12" drawers to the sides.

12” wide referring to the cabinet? Or the drawer itself?
My wife’s vanity has a 15” wide cabinet. 2” stiles on each side, 1” for slides, 1” for drawer sides, and she ends up with only a 9” wide drawer (11” opening). It’s too narrow in my opinion.
I have a 13” opening for my Drawers, and they are the perfect size.

12" means a 10" drawer with inside usable space down to just 8 1/2", thats just enough to lay a sheet of paper flat.
if you have a 7ft space for vanity think about this, add a laundry/linen closet in there using up 2ft of that space. put a divider at 4ft height so the top is a 2-3 shelf linen closet. then the bottom stays completely open with a 1x6 or 1x8 board as a fold down laundry chute and place laundry basket inside there to catch the dirty clothes. then buy a 4 or 5ft vanity made all in one
all you need to do is build a 24" closet, it looks something like this LINK

Yep, some place to put dirty hamper is nice. In the bathroom, a stackable washer/dryer will be installed. Across from it, I had built these cabinets.
Base with a roll out folding table.

Thought about something like this but that only leaves 5’ for a double vanity. Not enough counter space. We have the hamper in the closet.

12” cabinet. Drawers (3 banks of 3 each) inside width are 7”.
