Here's what old mobile looks like on my phone, it's beautiful.

Here's the same screen with new mobile. I don't get as much content on the screen. I have to scroll more. I do not like scrolling more. The desktop on phone is barely readable on my phone without zooming in. I don't like zooming in either. The new mobile looks like a kindergarten version of tigerdropping designed for five year olds and/or the elderly with the super sized font.

Don't worry, I wouldn't quit posting if forced to use the new mobile. Still the best site on the Internet, excluding porn site.

Agree and upvoted.

This site had one of the best mobile versions of any site I frequent. I don't understand why people try to fix what ain't broke.

Looks pretty similar to me. You see 6 threads versus 7.5. Scrolling on phone is super easy.

Now each page has the same url for both desktop and mobile. No more getting sent to mobile version when you are on desktop and click a mobile link (and vice versa).

Cluckster. Why can't you leave the old one up and let people choose?

do you even software bro?

its a nightmare to maintain 2 sets of code.

i'm guessing circus child went all responsive design and now they can chuck 50% of their dev costs.

does not make sense to maintain two versions of the same thing when having just one is perfectly fine.

not without a creating a significant maintenance issue...besides, not much has changed...except the Menu link and the Board name have essentially swapped places...this puts the menu at the top of the page, in line with how it is on the other pages...

the change really isn't that drastic...

My iPhone 6 switches back and forth between old and new at random. I don't care about that.

However, the markup functions make safari crash about 80% of the time now. It's awful. I mean just fricking awful. And it pisses me off. I had to vent this somewhere.

you are only switching back and forth because you have a bookmark that contains /mobile in the url...I would suggest updating bookmark to contain the new url.

the markup issue is an iOS issue that other sites are getting...hoping that apple fixes it soon.

you don't need to use markup to post a link to another webpage...just paste the url and it will show as a link

I've found that those crashes happen less frequently if you use the markup before typing your post.

I like the new mobile much better, but only because you don't have to load a new page to get to the "options" (replies, up/down voting, etc.).

I'm still getting used to using the Menu button and not scrolling all the way to the bottom to access the list of board links (which has become quite the chore on the new version).
