Why are the other team's board protected?

LSU fans don't get that luxury. We have to listen to their shite on the Rant, Recruiting , Coaching Changes, even our own fricking gameday Score boards. Just wondering the reasoning behind it?

Why do you let it bother you so much?

IDK Rummy. Just getting grumpier in my old age I guess.

He has to read every post from every poster. He's got the rare condition of Kant Ignoritis.

Guilty.
Rummy, I hope y'all are ready for the all out assault that is coming from Bama fans. If Saban goes it will be a flame fest. If he stays they have vowed to basically shut the site down.

Well, we're apparently being too heavy-handed on the site, so I guess we'll just let the place go to shite and allow everyone to do nothing but insult each other and cause general chaos...

Is that the order from the Clucker himself? The coaching board is a complete shite show. We've had that board every year I've been signed up here and this is the first year it's gotten like this. I wonder why that is?

I have a question, why are our posts talking bad about the bama fans being deleted on OUR board, but their posts talking bad about us AND CHICKEN on their board allowed?

Two things:
1) Because the constant bitch-fest is annoying.
2) You have access to the Bama board?

The admins will not know what posts you are talking about if you don't link and/or RA them.

See, I don't get why you care so much. If you don't like what you see there, then just don't go there.
I believe that the "private" boards were started to give the other schools a place where they could go so that they would drift away from The Rant and other "LSU" boards. And I believe it has been successful.
The fact is, TD is an open message board and we have always been accepting of other fans from other schools (to a point). By its very nature, TD will always have differing opinions, some you agree with and some you don't, to monitor the site based on the wants and desires of a few is a poor way to do business.
Lastly, as I posted somewhere on here a couple of weeks ago, MY opinion on the "private" boards is that there are far fewer people that have access to those boards, than those who can access the LSU boards, so going back and giving private entry to all of the "LSU" fans...(how would we blindly determine that anyway...I mean, it's not like you could go off of school icon. People would get left out who were LSU fans, then we'd have to move people around...it be a nightmare)...and taking away access from all of the other schools would be impractical.
My best advise would be to learn to live with opposing views of thought. If they cross the line, then RA them, if not, then attempt to join them in a lively, meaningful discussion.

"This board is not a democracy."

quote:Rummy, I agree with you but it does get a little frustrating when someone on those team's boards starts a thread basically replying to a thread or post on the Rant rather than posting their thoughts on the Rant, the damn cowards!!!
