That was my other suspicion but the problem was that the original thread was anchored so I had to start a new one to keep the next round of voting going and so forth. Good to know your thoughts though. I'll keep that in mind for the holiday version.

I blame OweO and David the Gnome for posting shite threads that bump quality threads off the main page.
The deletion/anchoring of threads with no explanation.
Toxic user base that runs off new posters who could put new life into the site. How many threads I've seen of a new poster that have 2 upvotes and about 20-100 downvotes.
Too many spin off boards.

I've been here since 2005 and every month or so there has been a sentiment that the OT isn't what it once was. To me, that says it's the same as it ever was.
