I don't mind ads but it's counterproductive to have your users blocked by ads.
Discovered the root cause of this issue.
The issue occurs when you enlarge your screen to be able to read the site on a small screen. As the page enlarges the ads move over into the postings.

I thought it was a glitch but it is doing it on my phone using both Chrome and Safari.
I do not like. There is no easy "go away" touch point and it just pops in and out randomly. It is terrible.
It obscures my screen and you have to scroll and read posts under it.
I hate it.

This is annoying the shite out of me. I was coming here to post a complaint about it also.

In case Chicken and others don't know what is happening, let me explain in detail what is happening:
Using the full desktop site on mobile platforms, when you tap to zoom and bring just the posts onto the screen, the banner ad on the side appears full size on the left side of the screen. It appears over the top of posts and to read posts, you have to just scroll and read posts one at a time on the bottom of your screen where the ad doesn't extend.
There is no touchpoint on the ad to make it go away.
It's unbelievably awful and makes full site on a mobile device unusable.

I would personally like to kill the people at Ad Choices for their annoying as frick ads on other sites besides this one.

I just switched to desktop on my phone and it does the same thing.
Seems to be happening to phone users that don't use the mobile platform.

I tried my tablet after the phone and it was just as bad. Fwiw

It has to be a glitch. I have a hard time believing it is supposed to be like this seeing as there is no way to close it out. It seriously makes the site unusable.
Hopefully an admin has seen this thread and Chicken is looking into it.

You were the first to start a thread and sound the alarm on this but the first rule of down votes is that when you mention them, you get them. I gave you a down vote and had no reason to until you mentioned them. You just have to take them, fair or not. Complaining about them results in a 43% increase.
