your point is good, and now you can't bump threads over 3-4 months old, so I guess this idea wouldn't work.

Maybe a sticky (locked for non-admin comments) thread on the help board listing those who are banned and if possible the date they were banned and the rule(s)/reason(s) as to why they were banned.
Just a suggestion because I've always wondered how one would determine if someone was banned or took a posting vacation.
