Dear admins of tigerdroppings,

In a time of much controversy and national upheaval, I humbly request there to be an enforced moratorium on political speak on the tiger rant.

There is plenty of honest and spirited debate to be had on the rant without bringing in politics, and in fact, a separate board exists for that type of talk.

This is included but not limited to Make LSU Great Again, referring to people who dont approve of the Coach O hiring as Clinton tards or voters etc, or any type of equivocation between LSU football and national politics.

It is with great dismay that I will suddenly be thrust into political ideology or insulted (even inappropriately) while just trying to read about coaching changes at LSU and I think it lessens the quality of the user experience.

get over it. I voted trump and being against the O hire does not equate nor is analogous with bitching about the election and i laid out why on the board.

Just ignore the people who throw out those strawmen.

If you cannot ignore certain things maybe you should not be posting on a message board no?

it is not analogous you are correct. but that's not the point. and you'll see beside my name i've been a member here for over 11 years.

chicken intended the tiger rant for lsu football and all other things LSU, not using LSU fandom to criticize large swaths of people (unless that's based on team affiliation). not to mention, there are lots of posts removed from the board because they don't have anything to do with LSU football (or even because they have bad titles).

i read the board to escape from politics and read football. not hear how stupid i am because i happen to disagree with people politically. in similar ways, chicken has also made sure to monitor hate speech and cursing.

so again, i'm respectfully requesting that the admins continue to monitor this and encourage people to keep the focus of the Rant specifically on LSU as opposed to national politics. the board will be more successful because of it.

i forget that ever even happened, but feel relieved when i see all the heat former classmates of mine take on the radio daily.

been spending time traveling and making things. the rant radio lives on forever. i'll always wonder what would've happened had the hurricane not taken out the radio tower.
