Posting GIF help needed

Can someone walk me thru this? Using only mobile. Downloaded Imgur and uploaded GIF then shared link and when I tried to post it, all it showed was a link and not the actual GIF.

If iPhone, do a long press on the image itself and hit copy link. Not sure how similar that would be to android method.
Also with imgur gifs, make sure to delete the v at the end
.gifv > .gif

Post a gif as you would a regular pic using the img button on the right. ETA you need to use the direct image link.

Don't post the gif as a "link" on TigerDroppings. Use the "img" button instead of the "link" button.

When I upload the gif to imgur, can I post it as private and it will work or does it have to be public?
