How sensitive is the measuring aspect of the program? to 1000ths of an inch or is it just a couple centimeters?

Whatever this project is that you're working on, you are clearly in over your head if you keep turning to a help board that is specifically for help with this site itself.

Occasionally, yes, but you seem to want to develop some sort of computer vision tech. A tech that several multi-billion dollar companies have been working on for decades. And you, with admittedly no programming experience, are looking for help with it on an internet message board that is mostly devoted to LSU sports?

I did, and I read the part where Intel developed it. Besides, I'm talking about computer vision and facial recognition in general.

well the openCV message board is invite only, that's why I tried fishing some info here.

And that's fine I guess. I just think you're barking up the wrong tree. It's kind of frustrating for me because you seem like you don't want to lay out your whole idea for fear of it being stolen. If I knew what you were trying to do, I might be able to help point you in the right direction.

prior art search supposed to be finished by next thursday, then I can see about getting a method patent...which will utilize features of OpenCV(or other recognition software)

Just getting ahead of the game before I hire a programmer to tweak OpenCV for my needs.

got the patent filed

I want open cv to match and then group user's based on body dimensions.

basically, instead of matching eye width, eye spacing, lip to nose ratio, etc...the way OPEN CV does for facial recognition.....I want it to match arm length ,shoulder width, waist size, etc of different users to determine which have nearly the same bodies.

Facebook did a thing a few years ago which you searched for people who looked like you, I want the app to find people who have essentially the same body as you.

then utilize group suggestions based on the similar bodies....."it fit them, so it will fit you"
