i don't mean to question your discretion when you ban people...
but in the thread discussing bmac/surf's untimely departure from the board due to someone messing with his career (e-mailing his employer things from here or total lies, who cares?) people brought up the unknown/zealot incident...
is screwing with someone's life IRL a totally frowned upon heinous lifetime bannable act?
what is the official admin opinion of this, if there is one?

It is discouraged to mess with people in real life. Posters should keep their anonymity and these types of situations would not take place.
The management of Tigerdroppings does not have control of what happens off this board. Things that are seen on the board that are inappropriate are handled by actions in which the board management decides are appropriate.
