The banner at the top restricts too much of an already limited screen, otherwise I like it

I don't like the menu bar at the top. More difficult to switch boards.

When you zoom into say topic column the menu banner grows larger taking up more screen space. In landscape mode banner is already taking up around 20% to 25% of screen. If you zoom into topic column it's pushing 1/3 of screen.
Trying to zoom in on pictures (just checking on any compliance issues) and that banner becomes distracting and cannot make sure rules are being followed (landscape mode it can become all menu banner).
Landscape mode now seems more like its zooming in until horizontal edge met versus old mobile that seemed to adjust for landscape screen by increasing column widths allowing couple extra words per line which could show an extra topic (or more of post) if a two line topic in portrait with 2 or 3 short words in last line became a one line topic in landscape mode.
Edit:4/26 landscape mode Is better today.

Agreed. I'm on an iPhone & simply can't use the mobile site at all right now. I'm just running the desktop, which kinda sucks, but is a better alternative currently. I don't know what happened to the old mobile version. There wasn't anything wrong with it.
