I'm curious what the traffic will be like during the Christmas season in general. A ton of electronics are sold from Black Friday (Thursday night) through New Years.

Traffic about various electronic gadgets is cool. Having 20 threads about the same thing is ridiculous. Trust me... normal folks aren't concerned with what color iphone you bought, when its coming in or what kind of case youre getting for it.

Spike in traffic of people that are not on the board regularly. They have a question and rather than finding an existing thread related to their question, they just start their own. Annoying maybe, but it won't persist.

Actually I had hoped this wouldn't become a phone/cheap electronics board, but that's about it. I started a thread last week about "Quantum Security" as an attempt at a diversion but it got no replies...

I'd love to talk about it... Hubba posted about quantum data transfers and it got a decent amount of discussion going. But that was a week later.

I would seriously welcome both an "iPhone Thread" and more traffic regarding new tech. There was a discussion a week or two ago about the dynamics of this board. Right now, there's so much apple vs. android or windows.
At some point, I think (hope) that will die down. Most regulars are already burnt out from it. I hope it happens sooner rather than later. Just last week, I posted about a very serious bug that affects Linux and similar systems and it barely got much play.

What if the admins expanded it to Tech/Science board? That might help some.
I agree that there are too many threads along the "my phone/tv/pc did this, help" line. I don't mind helping people where I can, but I think putting a single thread or maybe a couple would help the clutter.
