I formally support this

Why in the frick would you want to read that thread?

Classic is subjective!

I wasn't on here when that story broke. I didn't even know about this site then. It would be interesting to follow along real time as the new details emerged with the TD twist and cast of characters. I've never really sat down and read any full length story on that whole fiasco anyhow. The only one that I would find interesting enough to actually read would be that one.

I'd love to be able to read all that stuff. Don't wanna post in it I just wanna read it

same and I'm sure they could easily lock the board so no new posts could be made.
since I'm fairly new around here, it would be cool to read some classic threads from way back in the day.

I assume that you mean the classic board? Unfortunately, you have to be and admin to access it. I wish Chicken and CC would open that board up to everyone. The only thing that we would need to do is lock the threads there so no one could post in them.

I would love to read the "what is fap" thread again. One of the greatest threads I've read since I've been here

ETA: it's still whacked

Signed.
I have a thread in my bookmarks that is called "LSU Campus Secrets" that was posted by LSU Weirdo, I get the stop sign when I click on it. Pretty sure it's on the classics.
I also would like to read the Tiger Dave
debacle since I remember reading about it in one of those OT history lesson threads.
ETA: I found a screenshot of the classics board but I don't want to get in trouble with the admins by posting it here.
ETA2: People have suggested a post count requirement to get access to the classics. I say no on that because people would post a ton of shitty posts to reach the requirement. Incentivizing post count is never a good idea.
Instead, how about to get access to the classics, Chicken and Circus Child would require that your account be at least a year old. I joined in June 2011 so I'm good. I think this would prevent people signing up just to see the classics and it would prove that the posters who stick around for a year are trustworthy. A year is reasonable, I think.

Nope, that was Cosmo.
And I'm talking about a different screenshot.
ETA: the one Hugo posted is it. I emailed that to him a while back.

Truth... Looking through my tigerdroppings album I found this, which is now property of the classics board I assume...
