Chicken, are you ever going to bring back YouTube embedding?

I wanted to embed a youtube video on one of my posts, and realized it can't be done. I know you tried this back in 2010, but there were multiple issues with it. I'm sure the technology behind it has gotten better since then.

Have you and the hamsters thought about rolling this back out? Would be pretty neat IMO. Just curious.

Would love to get this. On my iPad or phone YouTube decided I needed an app and everytime I click a link it leaves the browser and opens the app and is cumbersome. Sites I’ve visited that had it embedded it’s a great feature

webm or mp4 embed would be better. They are also a good replacement for gif since they almost always have a smaller file size. Plus they have sound.

Hamsters aren't the brains of this operation; they're the brawn.

I'd like the YouTube embedding to be back but I'm too stupid to understand the issues that went wrong with it the first time.

The last time they tried it was in 2010. I'm sure we can figure it out now. Prob have a bigger IT team.

The problem was so many videos were embedded on some pages that the page would either take forever to load or never load because they timed out. I don't think there's a way around that.

They’ve unionized, and joined the Rodent faction. The 2 sides aren’t even close to coming to terms with YouTube embedding. The hamsters are demanding 5lbs of Billy’s Boudin a week, per hamster.

Well, as much as I'd like YouTube embedding, I'm not sure it's worth all that. Hopefully, Chicken won't give in to such unreasonable demands.
