I'm pretty savvy on cars and the mechanics but would it be helpful to have a forum on cars and advice from experienced mechanics?

Chicken, what say you?

Oh really, what would the correct ignition timing be on a 1955 Bel Air Chevrolet, with a 327 cubic-inch engine and a four-barrel carburetor?

That's what they say in the movie.

See, Lew is right. That is a BS question. The 1955 Bel Air didn't come with a 327 engine. My dad was a very seasoned mechanic and taught me well.

While paraphrased, that would be the next line

Movie? Oh! That one. Have not seen that movie in so long didnt realize... but not even going by that.....

If you put a 327 in the 55 Bel Air, the timing would be 4 degrees Top Dead Center.
