Is it really like a permanent tattoo? If not, i'd like to change it to GeauxJack to reflect my advancing age and terrible sense of humor.

It's true. Since 2006. And I actually met Chicken at the LSU beatdown of Va Tech if memory serves. The salad days... Life was simple and I didn't have to wear a mask to Costco.
