Avatar Images NOT showing up

I have an account on Flickr. For some reason I can not get the picture to upload for mu avatar or signature image.
Do I need to use the Copy the Link Location or just copy the link from the Share option ?????
I simply CAN NOT get any avatar images to show up. Regular images work fine for posts.
