Currently working a 6 week on / 1 week off split.
I used to do a reduced load week where I go about 60% of my current lifts, but lately I've switched to a full deload week where I do no weighted lifting. I'll do some push-ups and air squats just to keep that mobility, but primarily I only do stretching and yoga for the whole week.
I'll also try to get one or two deep tissue massages, no clue if they actually work but placebo-wise the idea of really breaking everything up to recover on this week makes sense to me in my bro-science head.
I'm never really sure what to do diet-wise. Part of me wants to go really high vegetarian as my normal diet is a super high protein high meat-based diet so I was thinking of something a little less taxing to let the digestive system take a bit of a break as well. At the same time I don't want to tweak my diet to something that won't lead me recharged and ready to go the next week.
Any thoughts on diet or anything else you do on deload weeks? TIA!

I do a reduced weight. I find if I completely stop, I back track. Diet stays the same.

Interesting. I found if I reduce then it sets me back as mentally I get used to that weight but if I totally deload then I'm ready to go next week.
Weird.

If I'm in need of a deload, that reduced weight feels heavy lol
