I prefer a yoga mat that's made of a compacted rubber material. Years ago I splurged in a Lululemon 5mm for over $80 about 7 years ago. Still looks the same as the day I bought it. I would go no less than 5mm and you can get by with any mat of that thickness IMO.

You need a mat. Blankets are used as props for different poses. I’ve been buying this brand from Amazon for the last 10 years. Tried Lululemons but didn’t like it. It didn’t have enough grip for me.

Sorry. Can’t help with that. Every place I’ve taken yoga has always supplied the blankets. You could probably find one on Amazon.???????

True but I figured some are better than others.

I’ve had a Kulae yoga mat for 6 years. I use the 8mm for hot yoga because I have knobby knees.

If you like it really hot try Preservation Yoga on Jefferson Hwy.
