I feel the worst soreness I my legs about 48 hours after a leg workout. Get a good stretch in and do some light cardio or something to get blood flow to your legs. It will suck but the only other option is being sore.

Took about three weeks but I can squat or deadlift heavy (and do on separate days of the week) and continue marathon training the next morning.

Just gotta get your legs used to it.
