Size and frame = Limitations?

As many of you may (or may not) know, I have big dreams in the strength world. In everything I do, whether it's business, investing, academia, or strength training, i believe I must accomplish something great.
So my question is, will my height and frame (5'9", hard gainer, 180 pounds) be a limiting factor in the pursuit of breaking Kirill's raw bench record? I'm already pretty strong with my frame, as a I hope to this year conquer a 405 raw bench at a BW of less than 190.

If you have nothing genetically, negatively abnormal I don't know that there is anything to stop you but yourself. It is all willpower. Go get it man!

I don't think so but records like that require specialty in that exercise. You couldn't do that with a full powerlifting program.
Technique is really where most people lose pounds.
You have to really work on flexibility as well and get that arch.

Mariusz Pudzianowski dominated the strongman circuit for a few years despite being about 5 inches shorter & 50 pounds lighter than most of the other strongmen.

With higher level strength/bodybuilding competition, the people with the genetics will rise to the top, after that it's just a matter how much you want to push yourself(hormones & food). If you're pushing 405 in competition at less of 190, it'll just be a matter of putting on the weight to make number go up. Good luck

Yeah I need to work on flexibility and master form to prevent injuries. Would it be humanly possible to get 740 raw at 242? That would break the record I want to break (Sarychev's incredible 738 pound lift) and it would surpass the current 242 record (which is in the upper 600s, held by Jeremy Hoonstra).

That is true. There's a guy from Lithuania or Belgium I believe who's only 5'9" (my height!) and holds the circus dumbbell world record and has competed in WSM the last 2-3 years.

Yep I have a lot of work to be done over the next 10 years to make it happen. I just wish I was much bigger and taller, like Kirill Sarychev

I'd say no because the ROM of a smaller stomach is too much coupled with a smaller base. I would think that if you go to that level, you'd naturally gain weight to accommodate the weight of the bench press.

I don't think strength is linear in a weight lifted v weight of person. It tends to level off because natural leverages and bone structure gets you to a certain point but once that has reached it's max then muscle has to grow to move the bones and that is harder to gain and has a limit.
