Shoulder pain from swinging bat
Last April I hurt something in my left shoulder while swinging a baseball bat (I swing right handed). I didn't think it was a big deal and assumed it would go away with rest but here I am several months later and I still feel it. At first all movement hurt but now it has gotten to where it only hurts when I'm working out or when I sleep on it. It feels like it's in the anterior part of my shoulder. Any idea what this is and what kind of shoulder workouts I can do without aggravating it?

Happened to me in the league twice, it felt like a popping motion.

Stretch it ALOT. Multiple stretches and light exercises a few times a week and keep it loose, eventually start bringing light weight in and strengthening it. Don't ever push yourself too much you'll know when to rest it.

I have a SLAP tear (labrum) in my throwing shoulder that would never get better before I went to the Doc. He prescribed Pensaid which knocked out the inflammation and all is good now....but my pitching career is over.

I recommend watching some Athlean X videos on YouTube. He has some good shoulder stretches and goes into detail about what's happening and why. His videos have helped me a lot, and it's become my first stop when I have any type of injury.

Bonus - he was a physical therapist and strength trainer for the NY Mets so he may have something specific to this type injury.
