Second Pair of Aftershox are Toast

First pair just stopped charging. To their credit, they gave me a replacement set without question for no charge. Now that pair had the battery melt.
I love the bone conductor tech because I’m outside road running. It’s important to hear what’s going on around me. Is there a better manufacturer for these or is this just what I should expect?

My first pair broke up after several years. I just bought a pair of refurbished Pros and I’m loving them so far. The use a magnetic charger. We shall see. I don’t know of any competitors other than cheaper knock offs. From a review I watched it seems like the Pros are a substantial upgrade over the regular open runs. The refurbished were 50 or a little more cheaper.
