Herschel Walker got jacked in high school and college from only push ups, sit ups, and chin ups.

I’m praying to God that I can get over this sinus crap and get back to a routine and strengthen my pulmonary system get stronger.

I used to do 250 setups and 250 pushups a day and go to the gym. Then I got old fat and lazy.

But you are correct.

To each his own. Arthritis running through varying parts of my body I use machines at the gym in a more resistance oriented way. Single out each leg, arm, whatever. Hit the sauna gym rowing and cycling rooms to keep the joints limber. That 3 sets of 10 with increasing weights doesn’t work for my aging body. I’ve adapted.
