I pulled/tweaked my left pec muscle doing flys at the end of September. Quit going to the gym immediately because of the pain. I still had full mobility and didn't feel a tear, so decided to just take it easy.

It has gotten better but still gets irritated if I do too much lifting or working around the house. Should I continue with what I'm doing or start some PT?

I’d recommend having a PT look at it to determine if you have any potential scar tissue buildup.

I tore my left pec and bicep eight years ago and I had to start with doing wall pushups

Years ago I pulled a pec muscle and had a hard time breathing for a couple of days! I’m lucky I didn’t tear it. Not much help to give to you, but I know it hurt like a MF and I have been very cautious since then on adding weight to chest days.

Tore my pec pretty badly when I was 20 bench pressing. Did PT for a while but the strength never fully came back. I have to be very careful with flat bench stuff and there’s a permanent knot with some asymmetry. I’ve learned to adjust and do lots of push up and dumbbell workouts to get some strength back. Very painful at the time I did it.

Yes and that knot that I had and still do affects my ability to do pullups
