For the last few years I've been having neck pain and headaches pretty severely. I've also been having nerve pain going from my shoulder down into my hand where the ulnar nerve is. The nerve pain has been on and off for 6 years and it's mostly been on. I've already had 3 surgeries for cubical tunnel and guyon's canal. Been doing physical therapy for the last 2 months with no real improvement and anti-inflammatories are doing nothing. If anyone who knows about this syndrome could possibly weigh in and give me their opinion that would be very much appreciated. Sorry for the long post!

I thought I had it and still think I had a mild case but I had pec minor release surgery a year ago.

I did a ton of research. If you’re on Facebook join the thoracic outlet group. Those guys are good with symptoms and seeing what you have

The worst part is doctors aren’t trained on diagnosing it. I had an orthopedic guy tell me because I didn’t have an extra rib I don’t have it. When I finally found a vascular surgeon that specializes in thoracic he told me 95% of cases don’t have an extra rib.

Where are you located? There are three gurus across the country that do the majority of surgeries. One is in Boston, one is in St. Louis and one is in Dallas. I saw Dr. Pearl in Dallas. He’s been doing it 40 years and operated on hundreds of MLB players including Matt Harvey and Josh Beckett

The thing is the surgery is a bitch. They always try conservative treatment like stretching and yoga.

I’ve been diagnosed with carpal tunnel and also had ulnar surgery. Then I finally read where all those nerves pass through the branchial plexus in your shoulder so if that’s where the compression is you’re never going to get relief no matter how many surgeries you have on your hand or elbow

Most of this is caused by an accident or trauma to the area, bad posture, poor weight lighting form, etc

Let me know. I didn’t know WTF it was 18 months ago and now consider myself an expert. Lol

I'm up about an hour or so from Salt Lake right now. I'd be willing to travel though. I'm miserable.

Yeah I've had the arm pain from my shoulder to into my fingers the whole time and I didn't understand why the upper part would be hurting if it was just at the elbow or hand being pinched. And across my chest is incredibly tight as well.

I've been doing phydical therapy for a couple of months now focusing on those neck muscles and really stretching and manual massage and such. I'm tired of taking Advil or Naproxen when it's really not helping anything.

I hate complaining about it, but sometimes it just gets to the point where you can only take chronic pain so much. Thank you for answering me by the way!
