Can this be a one stop shop for staying in decent shape? I bought one of these and an ab roller to just work out while watching tv here and there. Will this work out the majority of the bodies muscles without needing to do any other type of training? Legs are obviously not going to get big doing this but upper body im more talking about.

gymnasitcs rings are better as they allow a much bigger variety and difficulty levels on exercises. but using the perfect pushup, ab rooler and adding a pullup bar you can get a great workout. add in bodyweight squats, lunges, sissy & pistol squats and you can stay in great shape that away.

I have perfect pushup. Pushups are underrated as an exercise.

It will work chest, triceps and shoulders, in that order. You'll want to balance that with a pulling movement, and as you noted, legs get nothing from pushups.

Ab roller is great for core. You can do a lot with those two things. Eventually, you'll need some weight on pushups to keep from going to infinity as you progress.

can you hang a eye hook in a rafter? if so can get rings or ceiling mounted pullup bar. If not a stand alone unit.

in the mean time, start using your kitchen table or countertop to do bodyweight rows.

If you want a joke exercise, do towel rows:

Outside joking, anything you can use to suspend your body vertically or horizontally will allow pushups or rows.

Or get bands, loop them around a pole and row away.
