You can not cater to certain groups of people without being an a-hole at the same time.

The initial question was answered, vegan, vegetarian, and omnivore, within the first six posts

No, no it wasnt. He asked a simple question about protein supplements. He got total life style change suggestions, advice to call a divorce lawyer, called a fat POS, told the vegetarianism was for the weak. How is any of that constructive. Would you expect anyone to come back for more advice after that?

quote:

How would you not expect Mingo (and others) to get sick of the sissified hair splitting and take the opportunity to go after the underlying bullshite (vastly obese, needing a food log, stop concentrating on what doesn't work, why do you let a woman push you around, etc.?)

Depends. If i expect people to want to farm upvotes (like they actually matter), then yeah, that behavior doesnt surprise me. If i expect people to actually be a positive influence and change people, then being this stupid "hyper alpha male" persona you see promoted by influencers where shitting on someone is the best way of helping is not the way of doing it. It never has been, it never will be.

This is obviously a pet peeve of mine. This gatekeeping of healthy lifestyle and discussion of it. its pointless, and serves no one. But hey, if that's what this board wants, then I'll be the single dissenter, and the community can whiter down to 6 chuckle nuts arguing about whether 1.896654 or 1.896653 grams of protein a day per lb of lean, but not too lean, body weight is ideal, because no one else wants to be around it.
