Muscle Soreness Question

I did a really high rep calf workout 5-days ago. Calf muscles are still very sore. Specifically the soleus muscle.
Have I done damage that would require extended rest before working it again? Note: when I say soreness, I mean that I still can’t fully contract the muscle without pain.

For me, a week of soreness in s muscle ( especially one that small) was not unusual. You go a month like that, you may start to wonder.

You’re fine. This is common if you haven’t worked that muscle in some time. It could be as much as 5-7 days of soreness but usually not longer than 4-5
