Stats:

Age: 44
Weight: 245 lbs (from 285 lbs--currently plateauing)
Height: 6'2
Health: hypothyroid, secondary hypogonadism (both diagnosed after the sudden and big weight gain)
Meds: 200 mg/mL weekly testosterone, 100 mcg levo daily, 100mg losartan/25mg hyrdro daily
Diet: keto/intermittent fasting (20:4)
Other fitness activities: BJJ, kayaking
Lifting Goals: additional 30-50 lb weight loss
Concerns: bad shoulders, suspect knee, ability to train BJJ after lifting

This was the past program I used that I'm comfortable and familiar with:

All exercises x3 with increasing weight/8-10-12 sets (except legs, which are closer to 20-22-24) to max out at 12

Day 1: chest (bench press, decline, flies); shoulders (flies, raises, overhead presses); triceps (kicks, press/skullcrusher supersets)

Day 2: back (lawnmowers), biceps (isolated curls, barbell curls, reverse barbell curls), forearms (dumbbell palm rolls)

Day 3: legs (all bodyweight--calf lifts, squats, lunges)

Any recommendations or modifications? Is 3 sets per each exercise too much?

**incline and overhead presses are now likely out of the questions due to shoulders

Sheeet. Let me know when he’s working from the disadvantage of testing in the 180s.
