Started experimenting with IF and OMAD a little over a year ago after listening to a bunch of good podcasts and such, and it’s been going really well for me. I like doing OMAD pretty much M-F with the weekends being my “cheat days”. I’ll work out, lift, play basketball, etc. all while fasted, then eat a big meal afterwards without any caution of the amount of calories I’m consuming. The state of subtle delirium I reach when deeply fasted is also very interesting.
There are certainly noticeable effects from fasting which has me convinced of its merit in terms of diet or however you want to categorize fasting. If more people knew about this approach to better health/wellness, and attempted it for themselves, then I’m sure they’d also feel the same satisfaction I get from seeing the results. It just takes some time to get acclimated to it, and then it’s very simple to abide by.
So far I’ve just been attempting this on my own without any blood tests or anything like what OP had done, but I might have to consider it here soon. I like to frick off every now and again, but if I did it more strictly then I really do think I’d see tremendous benefits to my health.
