Knee popping and pain since starting to run again

Been mainly biiing for the past few years but decided to start running again. In the past I had all kinds of issues with my left knee (mainly IT band), but now it feels great and my right knee has started popping and just feels annoying more than anything while might run.

Any stretches, exercises to help? Reduce inflammation? Any other ideas, causes or common diagnosis? Tia

If you're just starting up again you may be ramping up your distance too quickly.

Also, make sure you have a good warm up and post run foam roll and stretch routine (youtube has thousands)

I went too far/fast too quick and aggravated past injuries. The above worked for me.
