I switched my dogs from ivermectin to pro-heart because it was damaging their kidneys. We owned as many as 80 beagles at a time and it was definitely a problem .

Had hunting dogs my whole life. Ivermectin once a month..never a single one with heartworms. Pro heart causes seizures

Not one seizure with pro-heart. Ivermectin used to be effective against heart worms which it isn’t anymore. After you get 70% of your beagles dying of kidney failure even at an older age you kind of figure you need to find out why.

Beagles are weak dogs. Only run labs. Never a kidney issue

It’s hard to believe ivermectin caused renal failure in beagles.I had probably 80 over 20 years, including puppies.I gave my puppies 1/10 cc at 2 weeks old which is a large dose-essentially twice the dose I gave grown dogs based on weight.I was in beagle club in Church Point / Eunice and everyone used ivermectin.
The only issue with renal failure that came out was when Purina came out with High Protein dog food.Lot of guys started feeding it thinking it was better and a good many dogs came down with renal failure.A veterinarian from University of Colorado veterinary school came out with an article that was published in Beagle Magazine warning people to stop feeding high protein dog food to their dogs.Very few dogs need high protein food other than sled dogs, search and rescue dogs and such.
I fed High Protein for a short while until that article came out and I switched back to standard protein.

Back to Wu-Flu.I got sick Wed night, coughing, sore throat, headache and fever.I took a dose of ivermectin and by noon Thur.all my symptoms went away execept fever.I’‘ve been taking a dose every night but still have low grade fever hanging on.Highest was 101.1. 99.8 this AM
I would say it definitely helped.

There is no mechanism for it to affect the virus. This is internet medicine at its finest.

But you’re wrong.

It prevents to the nuclear transport of viral proteins, which stops the virus from spreading, thereby letting your body fight off the virus before the viral load hits a critical stage.

Why do you think Pfizer & Merck ran out to create a COVID pill that slows/stops the spread after you test positive?

India & Africa have been using antimalarials and ivermectin to help combat the virus and they have the lowest death rate in the world per million population.

It’s frustrating having conversations with ignorant know it alls.

Plenty of medications have more than one use.
Aspirin relieves mild pain, reduces fever, reduces inflammation and inhibits blood clotting.

Viagra is used for erectile dysfunction and treatment of pulmonary hypertension.

Acetylcysteine is used s nebulizer treatment for copd patients. Also given by mouth to prevent liver failure in cases of Tylenol overdose.

This just off the top of my head.
