Whenever I do bicep curls. Even with the curl bar, the pain is so bad. Right in the dead middle of the left ulna. Now, the "weird" part to me is the pain occurs after I done with the set...when I go into full extension to put the bar down, the torque I feel is unbearable. I have to slowly pronate my arm as much as possible to reduce the sharpness of it. Any ideas to eliminate or remove these?

Stop doing the movement and rest it. Ice. NSAIDs.

Well, the brachialis attaches to the ulnar tuberosity.

But you’ve probably developed medial epicondylitis. And you’ve a practicing dumbass by continuing to lift instead of resting and recovering. Tendon issues are nothing to frick around with.

I have the worst pain on the inside of my elbow when I do curls. I looked it up and I think it's golfer's elbow.
Do I just need to rest and ice? and how long?

I mean, armchair diagnosis are never the wisest thing, but you likely have epicondylitis as well.

Is there pain at rest or is it just reproducible with resistance?

Can’t give you a timeline. Tendon injuries can take up to 6 months to recover depending on extent of damage. You definitely don’t want your tendinitis going from acute to chronic reoccurring acute episodes by continuing to strain it.

Here’s a good run down if things to do.

I dealt with what was most likely medial epicondylitis a year ago from over stressing with curls, etc. I had to pretty much stop upper body lifts entirely for a few weeks, wear a compression sleeve, rest, and very slowly build back up.

This pain has been apparent every time doing this lift for years including stints of several months between doing the lift at all. Apparently half a year of rest didn't do anything.

Have you not seen an actual physician or PT at all during this time?

For all you or I know, you could have a muscle strain that’s not healing, an impinged nerve, tendinosis (chronic tendinitis). It could be the last one, but as I said.. you need to see an ortho man.

Do you rest your elbow on something regularly, like an arm rest or table?

I don't believe so. I do sleep kinda weird on it. It's bent and tucked under my head when I'm on my side. It hurts when I wake up pretty bad if I'm in that position.
But I workout and I think I tweaked something one day when I was doing curls.

It doesn't hurt unless there is some resistance.
Most exercises don't hurt, like benching and tricep dips.
Curls are what really hurt. I couldn't do them today with that arm so I skipped and did pushups.

Could be neuropathy from excessive elbow flexion plus epicondylitis.

The problem of you have a nerve injury is that you don’t really want to ice that.

The driveman is right there with YOU baw. It’s been about 18 months since it first started. Three injections later it’s still coming back. Have additionally done physical therapy and dry needling and can’t shake it. This third time the pain is pretty bad- elbow aches when I wake UP, no upper body lifts, push ups, curls, etc.

Getting an MRI in two weeks and most likely surgery to remove the “diseased tissue” and 2-3 months of rehab. Look up stretching exercises as that’s your best bet right now. good LUCK
