How do I jolt myself back into it. Been in a rut of poor workouts for about 4 weeks. Tia

What are you working for? Are you training for something specific?

Download a workout app on your phone. It’ll keep you accountable. I have one I use to track my distance and various running goals.

Imagine being fat and incapable of walking down the street for more than 5 minutes.

That should do it.

Pick something new to try for a while. Anything that gets you moving - you’ll learn a new skill and be motivated when you start training again.

Rock Climbing
Hiking
Tennis
Golf (walking)
Trail Running

+1 for trying something new. Even if it's just a new program or something

I figured.

A big reason why - IMO - people lose motivation and stall in their workouts is because they have vague and generalized goals. “Stay in shape.” “Lose weight.” “Get ripped.”

I would take a few days to think about and explore what ultimately you can DO with working out and why you would want to do that.

Conditioning for what? Running a marathon? Hitting a PR in a 5K? Being able to go backpacking through mountains?

That way you’ll know what each workout is for. Once you achieve your goal, you can set a new one and work towards that.
