Long-time soda addict. Was consuming approximately 1500-1800 calories a day in Dr. Pepper for the better part of two decades. I've gone a week without any. My goal is to not consume any calories in the form of beverages, only drinking water, crystal light, diet soda, and tea. How much weight should I expect to lose if I don't increase my food intake?

An arse load. Geez that's alot of soda.

With the numbers of 3500 calories per pound of fat, 1800 x 7 = 12600. 12600/3500= 3.6 lbs of fat a week. This is a baseline and other factors come in though.

Im 31, 225 lbs. Lift 3 days a week. Walk 30 minutes a day. Have an office job. My maintenance calories is somewhere around 2900-3100 calories.

So you were drinking more than half my maintenance. Pending the rest of your diet. 2-3 pounds a week without any other effort is doable.

My guess is youll probably eat a little more than usual. Youll probably feel lethargic otherwise without the constant spikes in blood sugar. Get some fruits to snack on.
