Heel blisters

I started a walking program earlier in the year (running is a bit hard on my middle aged knees). I got a new pair of shoes last week and they have caused blisters on both heels, but not on the back of the heel. Off-centered on the outside between the back and side of the heel if that makes sense, and just a little above the bottom of the heel.
I have some blister bandages with the hydrogel or whatever it is called built in. Not sure they are actually doing anything. Anyone have any good ways to quickly heal blisters on the heel?

What kind of socks are you using? I get blisters on my toes when I don’t wear good socks in the heat.

I never even though about socks. I picked up a new pack of no-shows at Target last week. No idea what kind they are. I wonder if it’s the socks and not the shoes? I got them both on the same day if I recall correctly.

If you’re sweating a lot and your socks are getting wet some good running socks may help.
