I don't have much joint pain, but I do get a lot of popping in my joints when I lift weights. Anyone know a good supplement to help protect joints?

Man, just got into bone broth- literally been reading about benefits for 2 years and was too lazy to make it... 2 weeks in and definitely feel a difference in knees and shoulder after workouts. My gut feels amazing as well. If it's placebo, then I'll take it, but pretty sure this stuff is the real deal!
Took 5 minutes to throw together and let it cook in Dutch oven for 36 hours (was going to do 12-24 but got Tix to the Saints game and let it cook extra long).
2 cups per day. Probably starting the year with a broth fast.

Sorry, you asked for supps.
Gelatin, collagen, and aminos are all great for joint health. You will be hard pressed to find a better source of all 3.

No supplement is going to protect your joints. A lifestyle change and a ketogenic WOE will.

gimme more on the broth:

Are you taking the thanksgiving and Christmas turkey bones and boiling?

I use a wrench to break the bones to allow more marrow into the broth.....may not be necessary but its not hard to do.

Ive tried the turmeric capsules, fish oil and gluc/condr.

Not sure anything has worked.

Beef: First batch- 5lbs of "soup bone" and 2 lbs of beef shank. 1 gallon cold H20, 1/2 apple cider vinegar (read it's not necessary but I put it in), Parsley/onion/bell pepper/carrot- I will not be doing carrot again, I can't taste it but it dominates the smell.
Simmered on low for 36 hours- super dark and gelatinous. I put 4 tsp pink salt and 2 tsp NoSalt in the batch after I strained.
Poultry: I did keep the stock from Thanksgiving and boilded the turkey carcass in it for 12 hours- that sh** was delicious, better tasting than the beef, but nowhere near the thickness and nutrient content.

I grind fresh tumeric and ginger in 8 oz with pepper. I reheat the fat/tallow into the broth FYI- for tumeric to work and be bioavailable it requires a trifecta for Max absorption: pepper/heat/fat with pepper being the most important- this could be why the tumeric caps don't work. Save your money and buy fresh tumeric root or ground tumeric.
Go on a YouTube binge to research benefits. Most people recommend 2 8oz servings a day for gut and joint health. I usually break my fast with a cup and drink another before bed. Besides the tallow (which is optional) it is extremely low calorie.
