Flooring for Home Gym

What are some good recommendations for flooring for a home gym? We started simple with a spare bedroom and have gradually been adding on. Nothing extravagant, but with a busy life and 3 kids, it lets me use 30 minutes here, 15 minutes there, to get some good work in.
I have been thinking about pulling up the carpet (it's old anyway) and putting in some gym-style flooring. Any suggestions on the best type to get? There are a lot of options online for interlocking rubber flooring, etc., but the options are overwhelming.
Also, what is the best way to determine the thickness of the rubber tiles to get?

What kind of working out do you do? If it's weight lifting or any type or plyo moves k would suggest rubber stall mats from tractor supply or rolled rubber floors if you can afford it. I would also suggest laying down 3/4 osb board between any concrete and the rubber to soften it up and for better protection against the slab or sub floor

You're entire house will smell like a tire store if you go with the stall mats. Ive had them in my garage for a couple years now and can still smell them when I go out there.

Horse stall mats are your best bang for your buck.

It does smell for a couple of weeks. I have been having them for years and do not smell them anymore.
