Excersize induced asthma, or exercise-induced bronchospasm

Anybody experience this? It happens in people that don’t have asthma, and increases when the weather is colder, and there are pollutants in the air like pollen.
I have been bringing my heart rate up in the 150s at least once a week for 6 months, but still not in any kind of respectable physical shape. I had a hard short run Wednesday and felt good. Did the same cadence today, and something happened, shortness of breath, slower recovery, nose running, spitting, coughing, and typical lung burning sensations when exercising in the cold.
36m, never had problems with allergies or asthma. Must just be a combo of cool air, pollen and being out of shape. It’s not even that cold.

Yes. I have the same issue. Go to your doctor and get a corticosteroid inhaler and if you need one a Bronchodilator inhaler. I use mine sparingly but they do help. I should probably use my corticosteroid as often as recommended, I don't, but it still limits my need for a rescue inhaler.

Is it just when it’s cold, or pollen season, did it develop later in life?

Yes. I struggle with it during my CrossFit WODs. My GP gave me a corticosteroid inhaler to use. For particularly intense, lung-taxing workouts and when it's cold, I pop a couple of hits before the warmup and it helps.

First started when I was about your age. Only had symptoms after running or intense exercise and when it was cold out.

It flares up for me in the morning when it’s colder outside. Steroid inhaler works wonders and takes very little time to start working.
