Considering 65 puts him with nadal and djok, I call that world class elite for cardio
Everyone thought the would hit 70s etc but almost everyone of the top tennis guys sat in the mid 60s

Elite is winning a grand tour like the Tour de France. The cost to enter that club is 80+ on the VO2 max rating scale. Additionally the difference between 65 and 80+ is such a large gap it is hard to adequately explain. Having a VO2 max that high puts you in freak of nature category. You are an exceedingly rare human being the further you go past 80.

I think being on par with the top pro tennis players outs you at the elite level of cardio fitness
