When I was a kid I was fat and very insecure. I now have it instilled in my brain that I must look perfect at all times. I literally never break my diet or miss a workout for any reason. Most people don’t have the discipline to be this way, but it doesn’t bother me in the least. Cheating on my diet or being lazy and skipping a workout just makes me feel guilty, so it’s pointless.
I can’t speak for everyone, but in my experience, you have to make yourself feel like absolute dog shite for not looking good or working out consistently. If you can make yourself hate what you are now, then everything else will work itself out. If you can’t do that, then in my opinion you just don’t want it bad enough.
Hate being fat more than you love food.

while I'm not here to piss on anyone's methods and style, i would not recommend this for most people. This is setting yourself up for a lot of unnecessary misery. This is holding yourself to for many what is an unachievable standard and a lot of mental anguish.

I'm not much on fitness. Never been athletic even remotely. I can eat anything I want and hover below 225. But at 225 I feel awful. No energy, fat, nasty, nothing fits.
I realize you said keto rash and quit. Did you try to alter what you were eating? I usually run a keto diet with exercise (basically walking) 9 out of the 12 months. Taking time off for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and start back in February. My Keto is pretty clean keto though. Mainly carnivore since I love meat and rarely eat vegetables except Onions/peppers/mushrooms/kale.
You just have to do it. Don't accept the first excuse to stop. Your body is a liar so don't listen to it. Get on your plan and make sure you get up early to make your lunch. Make sure your dinner is defrosted and ready to cook for the night. Fast from midnight to 12pm. It's not hard if you drink water and coffee. Stay away from sugar substitutes except in extreme cases. Don't make 'mock' foods. Eat meat. Record what is going into your pie hole. Once you start recording what you eat, you'll notice that you won't snack unless it's to get the fat you need.
Weigh yourself every day on a smart scale. The first 10 days will be phenomenal. The next 10 will be a bit of a roller coaster going up 1, down 1, down 1 up 1 or so it will feel. Trust the process. You will see the trend down.
STAY AWAY FROM ALCOHOL! Alcohol adds huge carbs but even worse it loosens your inhibitions and you will end up smashing that bag of chips. Stay sober and dedicated to making yourself be someone you won't be disgusted with.
There are a billion reasons to quit, but yourself isn't one of those. Oh and once the weight starts coming off... walk more and more and more to speed the process and feel even better.
