Deep tissue massage for mobility issues?

Anyone ever gotten a deep tissue to deal with minor injuries/mobility issues?
After years of beating the shite out of my body through training, gym, running, etc; I feel my body, especially my back is starting to break down. It’s beginning to take me longer to recover. I’m also beginning to have some incredibly limiting mobility issues in my back and shoulders. Can’t bring my elbows up high when power cleaning, and having a tough time getting the bar overhead when squat-snatching
What can I do to fix this? Several people have suggested deep tissue sessions. Had a masseuse feel my back the other day and she said it’s one of the worst she’s ever felt.
Anybody here have similar issues before? How did you remedy it?

Deep tissue definitely helps. However, you have to get somebody that knows how to fix the problem. I have only had one deep tissue person know what they were doing and helped. I actually went in for a sports massage and they said I would benefit more from a deep tissue (less money also so I knew they weren't selling anything). My arm pain was due to tight traps and pecs. They also recognized that my back problems were from all over my legs and needed attention but said they needed the full 1.5 hours on my upper body to fix the shoulder and arms.
Another thing that has helped tremendously is using the jigsaw massager on my chest and legs.
My PT cousin told me to get some dry point needling done for my trigger points to help relax some of the muscles.

Stretching daily would help more than massage infrequently

I've had my fair share of issues, and really fixing them requires approaching from all angles: mobility, stability, flexibility, etc.
Specific to massage, I can't recommend it enough. I suggest finding someone you really like and visiting them monthly (at minimum).
I've seen the same masseuse at least once a month for the last 8 years; and the value isn't just in the treatment - it's in the feedback. She can identify imbalances, let me know which limb is tighter, etc - and do so better than I can myself.
Take some time and find a good one; I lucked out and found one who is certified in a bunch of modalities, is a former body-builder, who has a powerlifter husband.
