Anyone ever broken a finger?

I chipped the bone on the inside of my right thumb where the last joint is going to the tip. Monday will be 6 weeks. The chip has fused back and still healing. I'm trying to get range of motion back and it is very stiff, not sure this is normal or not.
My left thumb at the top joint can move from straight up to a 90 degree bend, I can probably only move my right thumb to about 30 degrees before it hurts. There is still some inflammation looking at it from a side view.
Should I see a specialist or just keep working it and eventually the range of motion will get back to normal? I'm 44 yrs old, so I'm sure age will slow healing down compared to a younger guy.

I have had spiral fractures in two of my fingers from jiu jitsu. Neither healed back to "good as new". My ring finger on my left hand bends slightly out to the left compared to my other fingers and doesnt close up as tight as the other fingers. My index finger on my right hand got almost full range of motion back, but is slightly misshapen. I guess it all depends on how worried you are about "like new" condition. For me, getting it rebroken, set, and all that just seemed like a waste of time, especially considering with my hobbies and interests, more broken fingers are likely.
