3 Car Garage - Rubber Stall Mats

I'm planning to cover my ~30x22 ft garage with the 3/4" thick 4x6 rubber stall mats from Tractor Supply. I’ll need around 28–29 mats total.
It seems like a more cost-effective solution than epoxy, and it would work well for the gym area.
Trying to think through the logistics... has anyone done a large area like this before? Should I order them in phases or just deliver them all at once? I know they need to air out for a while.
Anything else I should consider?

i have, I ordered all at once and let set but mine had sat at the store for so long that they didnt have a smell
big thing is...if you are really worried about mold and its a new house, seal the concrete to form a vapor barrier as the concrete will still be giving off moisture for a while. I never had that problem and really dont now as I just epoxied mine and then put it down.
also think about ordering a puller off amazon. your grip is going to be shot like a mofo
and are you sure its cost effective?

Yes - brand new house.
$1700 to get mats delivered. I need some for the gym portion of the garage and I don't want to do both epoxy and mats.
I am guessing Epoxy will run north of $3-4k. Probably more, but haven't gotten quotes yet out there.

Don't tempt me with a good time. I've got a list of projects what's one more.

9 months later but just got 28 of them delivered to the house.
Heavy as hell unloading them haha. Gonna wait for those grips to come in before I start hauling them inside.

They smell pretty strong for a while. They were a hot topic with the wife for probably 6 months but I put mine straight in my garage apartment. Should have aired them out

I only had 3 of them in my old garage under the equipment. But doing the whole entire garage this time.
Trying to decide how long I want to leave them out. They’re stacked up in the driveway.
Not looking forward to moving everything around to set the mats but it’s gotta get done eventually lol. Just got too much stuff in there.

777 great call on these puller things. Makes it so easy to move them around by myself. Figuring out the layout has got me stuck
2 car garage door area depth has 22’
Where as the 1 car garage section has about 19-20’ stable space.
30’ wide

Just so you know going in - in case you haven't dealt with them, they weigh like a hundred (100) pounds each, which would be one thing if they were compact and manageable, but when it's big like that and all floppy and unwieldy (TWSS), it's like wrestling a bear getting them into place.
Amazon sells some grips that help (clampable handles is the best way to describe them), but even then it is like a hard, hard workday doing a dozen of them. Damn near 30 seems rough.
(ETA: Sorry - realized you've handled them now.

Yeah these handles are awesome. Got most of the project done. Just have the side walls that I have to move everything off of before laying them down.
Hands are sore as hell

I would also encourage you to look for flooring on Facebook Marketplace as well. We have a two car garage that we’re in the process of finishing for a home gym. We found these tiles that were pulled from an Equinox gym that closed. Covered the entire two car garage for $400. Less than I would have with stall mats.

That's a deal right there. What else y'all got planned in there?
Looks awesome.

Yes - brand new house.
I am guessing Epoxy will run north of $3-4k.
I would just spend the extra money, especially if you plan on staying in the house for 10-20 years.
The mats get dirty, stains, on and on and are a "bitch" to clean

It's too late. Mistakes were made.
Was already salty about moving and didn't want to spend anymore money on epoxy, but wish I did
Live and learn.
Anyhow i have 2 more mats to cut and im finally done this project. Then gotta reorganize so I can move my office out there and get some turf installed for a portion of the garage.
