Anyone play Ping fairway metals? Seems like I’m going to have to do the same and ditch the stealth 2 3 wood and grab a ping.

I bought a G430 yesterday, but not going to make it the course for a week or so.

Definitely report back. Interested if its got the same forgiveness and accuracy as the driver.

Would like to grab one without paying for another fitting.

Also if you're hesitant about trading over the Internet, let me be clear. I'll send my driver first if that makes you feel better.

What shaft do you use on those? I just picked up a G425 Max yesterday with the ping tour 65 stiff shaft. Love it so far.

I have a Stealth that was free because my Sim Max 2 cracked on the face. I never liked the Stealth, lost about 20 yards of distance and chalked it up to just the club being more spinny that the Sim Max 2. My brother had an original Sim that I used and the distance came back, so I played with that until it cracked and I found myself back to the backup Stealth. I went to PGA Superstore and got fitted and was ready to spend $600-700+ on a new driver, I was leaning towards the Titleist TSR3 but also wanted to hit the newest Ping and Calloway. I hit some of my initial drives with the Stealth and the spin rate was about 3500, distance about 253 (not going to go through all the stats for this story). He put the TSR3 in my hands and the spin dropped to ~2400 and distance went up to about 267. He made a few adjustments on the Stealth while I was enjoying the Titleist and asked me to hit the Stealth again. He got the spin down to 2600, distance at 261 and then made some more adjustments. We got the spin to about 2300 and the distance is now about 267-270.

He gave me back my driver, told me to get a new grip on it, charged me $50 for the 30 minutes I was there and sent me on my way telling me there's no reason to purchase a new driver.

All this to say, a change of some settings on the driver could save you having to purchase a new driver.
