If so…. What are some cool things you do to make sure your group has a great time? Looking for ideas.
I do a 54 hole stroke play tournament each year in Florida. 12-16 guys. This year I bought a hole-in-one policy for $20,000. Only cost $190. Thought that was kinda cool.
What kinda stuff does your group do?

Sounds like you got it all. The hole in one policy I have only heard of in big tournaments.

We rent Mingo and his midget friends to come fight each other. Makes for hours of entertainment

Our group goes to Tahoe every year. Used to be in mid June, but moved to mid Sept so we can bet on College Football on Saturday (LSU at Miss State so I'm good.. one of our regulars coaches Power 5 college football so we will miss him this year).
We have 32 going this year. We play 3 rounds at Edgewood...Thursday
& Friday individual play with handicaps & at end of each round the host draws for partners and our scores are put together & averaged. We play 3 places (1,5,9 / 1,6,10) & closest to pin on 2 holes.
Saturday is our off day, and we play scramble on Sunday paired up with a golfer in top half 1st 2 days with one in bottom half blind draw. We pay similar to Thursday.
Last year, we finished 5th on the day and 6th in scramble which got me $1000. We are paying $850 to play this year and that's for golf, prizes, and giveaways. Plus we get free rooms and we have a charter bus that picks up a whole group that comes in from DFW (I make sure my flight gets in a few minutes before them and leaves a few minutes after since I try to avoid DFW from Houston).
I have a blast every year no matter how I play. Get in a bit of blackjack as the casino usually holds us 2 or 3 tables.

I have done everything from having a club rep do a small demo day to have them give away trinkets.
Callaway use to give me 12-20 dozen balls to give away.
Things may have changed some, but it doesn't hurt to call and ask.

I throw one 4 man scramble with about 40-50 friends every year.
Course group rate last year was $60 and I did $85 per person. Used the extra $25 per person all on gifts. I don’t pocket any money, usually lose a couple hundred buying more gifts. You could charge more but I like to keep it low priced.
I make sure every person has a nice goodie bag filled up and one or two hats per person. 1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes and trophies. Gifts for longest drive and closest to the pin. I do a putting contest on the putting green, basically take the longest or hardest put the putting green allows, winner for that gets a prize. Then just draw tickets for a table filled up with gifts.
Plenty of the people that play are business owners and like to donate hats, coozies, , tees, etc. Edwin Watts gives free coupons for goodie bags. One friend does decals for a bunch of car lots in the area and everyone of them like to donate hats or gift cards.
No cash prizes for the winners so I’ve never had any obvious cheating teams. Golf balls are the absolute worst gifts, I never buy them. You can buy so many nice gifts for $100 instead of 2 dozen prov1s.

I disagree with this wholeheartedly. Sure golf balls are expensive and giving someone a few dozen balls is boring, but it’s useful. You give me $100 worth of golf balls there is 100% chance they’re getting used. You give me a towel, water bottle, koozie, ball marker, tshirt, hat, and divot fixer, I might just regift it all.
